Subtitle: Prestigious awards recognize Tec-Masters’ commitment to mentoring small businesses in the defense industry
Huntsville, AL – Tec-Masters, Inc. (TMI) announced today that they have received two prestigious Nunn-Perry awards from the Department of Defense (DoD) Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP) in recognition of their excellence in the DoD Mentor Protégé Program (MPP). TMI was awarded the FY2021 Nunn-Perry Award for mentoring Beshenich, Muir, and Associates in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) MPP, and the FY2022 Nunn-Perry Award for mentoring GeneCapture in support of the US Army MPP. The awards were presented at the Mentor Protégé Summit in Orlando, FL on March 30th, bringing TMI’s total number of Nunn-Perry awards to nine.
The Nunn-Perry Award, named in honor of Senator Sam Nunn and former Secretary of Defense William Perry, recognizes the critical contributions both made in implementing the DoD Mentor Protégé Program. Established in 1990, the program aims to assist DoD prime contractors in meeting their Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) subcontracting goals. The program has since expanded, providing developmental assistance to Women-Owned Small Businesses, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, and other categories of small businesses.
